Cotton collapsing on Thursday AM Trade

Cotton prices are trading with Thursday AM losses of 77 to 106 points so far. Futures closed the Wednesday session with gains of 20 to 27 points.  The outside factors were supportive, as the US dollar index was down 150 points, with crude oil $2.99/barrel higher and breaching the $80 level

The Seam reported 5,283 bales of online sales on January 14 at an average price of 60.86 cents/lb.  ICE cotton stocks were down 19,895 bales on decertification on Tuesday, at 218 bales of certified stocks. The Cotlook A Index was back up 55 points on 1/14 at 78.00 cents/lb. The USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) was back down 37 points from the previous week last Thursday at 54.66 cents/lb.

Mar 25 Cotton  closed at 67.77, up 27 points, currently down 106 points

May 25 Cotton  closed at 68.92, up 22 points, currently down 101 points

Jul 25 Cotton  closed at 69.92, up 20 points, currently down 99 points
